To play The Sun £250,000 World Cup Dream Team 2010 simply start by picking an 11-man team from a budget of £250million, including one England player, based on the fantasy values we've given the players.
Points are awarded throughout the tournament for goals, clean sheets and good performances and lost for goals conceded, bookings and red cards.
There are two pre-paid Transfer Windows during the tournament where you can make up to four transfers to a team and swap low scoring players for in form players to boost your team’s chances.
You can join or create a Mini League to compete against friends or family whilst competing for your share of our fantastic cash prize pool!
Our Player List shows you each player available to select in the game. Look through this by clicking on each position (Goalkeepers, Defenders, Midfielders, Strikers) and you’ll be able to view their stats from the qualifying matches they played in.
Our easy-to-use website makes it really simple and quick to stay within the selection rules:
When picking your team, you need to consider which players you think will perform best during the tournament. Players will score you points for things like goals, clean sheets and good performances and lose them through leaky defences, bookings and red cards.
Your 11 selected players then win or lose points for every match they play in the World Cup.
Check out the easy scoring system here.
You can make unlimited changes to your team until 23:59 BST on Tuesday 8 June. After this point, you cannot make changes to your team until the first of the two transfer windows open.
The first Transfer Window will run from 09:00:00 BST on Tuesday 22 June 2010 to 14:00:00 BST on Saturday 26 June 2010 with transfers taking effect from eligible games played on that date.
The second Transfer Window will run from 09:00:00 GMT on Tuesday 29 June 2010 to 14:00:00 GMT on Friday 2 July 2010, with transfers taking effect from eligible games played on that date.
You can bring in UP TO FOUR players and must transfer out the same number to make a valid formation. When you bring in a new player, you do NOT get the points he has scored so far. Points scored by players you transfer out remain on your total team score but you do not gain any further points once these players are transferred from your team.
Once the first transfer window begins, the rule requiring teams to have one England player no longer applies. The only limits in place will be remaining within the £250 million budget and fitting one of the valid formations. Our transfer system will ensure your team stays within the game rules.
Transfers for all teams entered in to our World Cup game are pre-paid as part of your package when buying a team.
